I recently stayed at a charming old-fashioned hunting lodge in a large rambling estate. The property had a rustic feel with chickens wandering around and geese in the adjacent paddock. The pool was perfect for the hot Spanish weather. The staff, especially Cristina, were welcoming and pleasant. The menu at the restaurant was inventive, featuring game dishes. The nearby towns of Medina Sedonia, Conil, and Vejer offered plenty of history and beautiful architecture. I loved being close to nature and enjoyed my stay at Cortijo Los Monteros.
Totally recommend this hotel.

Quaint decor and delicious regional dishes. Enjoyed the peaceful setting and the refreshing pool. Free WiFi was a bonus for posting Instagram-worthy pics of the beautiful gardens.
Pig fat for breakfast, anyone? Couldn't resist the temptation of greasy toast.

The rooms were well-maintained and had all the basic amenities I needed, including air conditioning. The location, nestled in a rural setting, provided a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to the coast allowed for easy access to a great selection of seafood restaurants and beautiful sandy beaches.
No improvements needed - everything was perfect.

I spent Christmas in a rustic hotel located in a charming village surrounded by sunflower fields. the warm welcome from the locals made me feel at home and the authentic food was simply delicious. the swimming pool was clean and perfect for day-to-night refreshing dips. One of the best aspects was the opportunity to try local gin, which was surprisingly great. I also enjoyed watching the resident animals like chickens and donkeys.
The room was slightly dim and could use some extra lighting. the breakfast lacked variety and it's not very common for one not to be able to choose what to eat.

If you're looking for a pastoral escape near the coast, this hotel could be for you. Chickens wander around next to the pool, while you take a dip and enjoy the countryside view. the staff is quite attentive, offering to quickly clean up any spill or mess. the breakfast may be a bit minimal, but the other dishes like the unusual game meats are inventive and tasty.
The selected menu may not cater to everyone's taste preferences.

This hotel is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the friendly and accommodating staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The location is fantastic, with easy access to the coast and main roads. We loved the attention to detail, from the well-maintained rooms with air conditioning to the basic amenities provided. The value for money is outstanding, especially considering that breakfast was included in the price. Speaking of food, we were delighted by the restaurant's delicious seasonal salads and local meats.
Nothing to complain about! All was perfect during our stay.

Situated in an area of outstanding beauty, this hotel offers a taste of rural Spain that is hard to come by. With friendly staff and an excellent restaurant serving wholesome home-cooked food, it's clear that this hotel takes pride in its service. The swimming pool is well-maintained and the air conditioning in the room is great for hot days.
The free-roaming livestock on the property can be quite noisy in the morning, with rooster calls waking guests up early. The hotel is quite far away from the beach, which may be inconvenient for those looking to spend time by the water.

A real gem with authentic Spanish accommodation, food, and hospitality. Cristina and staff were wonderful, genuinely interested in my welfare and enjoyment. Wild asparagus omelettes, local venison, the best gazpacho, good value local wines. Decent pool for swimming, great local off-road running and walking, close to Atlantic surf and sandy beaches.
Felt really good, no complaints at all.
